Peter North the Chef

In 1996, Peter had a brief stint as a chef/host on a live Chinese cooking show called 'A Big Cock & A Wok'.

Not surprisingly, it was pulled from the air by the Chinese government shortly after its first airing. The baffling thing is why someone thought it would have a chance at success in the first place.

Peter North is a popular figure in China, especially Hong Kong, but this was doomed to failure. Still, you can occasionally catch episodes on television in Hong Kong, where people still look up to him.
